The Vacation Edit: Croatia

Croatia is a country located along the southeast coast of Europe. My vacation took place in the city of Dubrovnik. I chose to visit Dubrovnik because of its crystal blue water, rocky cliffs, overlooking views, and cobble stone paths. The Walls of Dubrovnik allowed us to really get immersed in Croatia’s rich history, there you can gaze upon fountains, statues, and historic churches. The weather in September was very hot, it felt like 90 degrees during the day and about 70 degrees at night. The heat was not humid more on the dry side. We experience a few hours of rain but it was mostly sunny.

I wanted my looks for this trip to accentuate the color palette of the city. I focused on light blue like the sea and neutrals like the cliffs. Before planning outfits, I like to look at possible photo locations to get ideas. I take curating photos and looks seriously, it takes weeks for me to plan everything. I start with the colors that I think would best fit the location and then I determine the clothing pieces. I love to add fun accessories to my look to provide a pop of color or texture.

I want my outfit to give viewers a true feel of the location. Most travel happens through images, and I want my pictures to give a true depiction of a location. I get so many questions about where I get my pieces, stay tuned for another blog post!
